Hi i was just wondering if anybody could help me out. I got diagnosed with chrons after two years of pain and eight weeks ago got put on steroids, To start with they seemed to help for the first two weeks but it may just have been a good two weeks but the last six ive been getting worse and worse but still have good days and bad days just more bad days. I was wondering what the doctors do when it doesnt work as it is three weeks till i get another appointment?

Hi, have you been reducing the steriods gradually over the last six weeks? It is a common theme with alot of us that the steriods work until we start to reduce them and then the symptoms start to return. I would try getting your apointment moved forward if you can. Hope this is some help Dawn x

In what way do you feel worse?  What symptoms did you have before and what are you getting now?

Pred can cause various side effects, not all mentioned in the med leaflet.  If you can explain how you feel maybe we could let you know if it's 'normal'.  

The other option of course is to go back to your doctor but that can be a pain sometimes getting there and all.
