I have been in remission for nearly 10 years with of course the friendly stomach pain popping up now and then. Almost 2 years ago I started a real health kick. I decided to go vegetarian and eat a really healthy balanced diet.
I also hit the gym hard and lost loads of weight and put on a load of muscle doing weight training. I do boost my diet with a lot of whey and soya proteins.

Because I sped up my metabolism by excercise and stopped eating meats that for me were hard to digest, I feel a massive amount better. I have not had a single problem with my Chrohn's since.

This has also helped mentally knowing a look better. Hope this may help someone.

Being vegetarian sounds great to me  I love veg , salads, nuts etc BUT have been told to eat a low fibre/low residue diet due to strictures.  Too much fibre and I block and quite a few others are in the same boat.  It makes eating a healthy diet almost impossible.
