Steve, I live in Oxfordshire, will you have your op at the Horton, or the JR, just curious as in the first instance I was going to have my fistula (before my Crohn's was diagnosed) at the Horton, and the man I saw scared the living day lights out of me, not his fault he was just telling me the truth, and when I turned up in A&E at the JR they asked me why I hadn't gone to the Horton, even though the JR was closest to me. Dr Travis, is the main man at the JR and he's brilliant, I attended the NACC general meeting this year and he gave a talk, and he really takes Crohn's & Colitis serioulsy, and I know that sounds daft but he made me feel like that he is totally at the top of his game! Sorry to prattle.....
My thoughts are with you where ever you go, they also said when I had my bits of intestines removed there was a chance of having to have a bag, but I didn't need one, so I think they warn you just in case it comes to that. Hope it goes well and wish you a speedy recovery. |
